Thursday presentation of six interdisciplinary master programs

The University of Sarajevo Center for Interdisciplinary Studies (CIS UNSA) Open doors event will be held at the Center, on Thursday, 28 June, at 17:00. On this occasion, CIS UNSA will present six interdisciplinary master studies for 2018/2019 academic year, in the presence of respectable experts as program leaders: Democracy and Human Rights in South East Europe, European Studies, Nutrition, One Health, Protection against Natural Disasters and International and Regional Security. The competition call for enrolment is open until mid-September this year.

Head of “European Studies” Master Program, Prof. Dr. Azra Hadžiahmetović, pointed out that this program deals with studying the EU as a political, economic, legal, cultural, value and historical phenomenon. “It's an interdisciplinary study intended for all those who deal with our present, but also with the future in particular. It is extremely important in the function of training for a wide range of jobs with European inclination, and it is also a good foundation for further scientific and professional improvement” said Hadžiahmetović and added that EU is an open book that we need to learn from.

More than 800 students graduated from the CIS UNSA, who found their jobs in different sectors, where they daily contribute to the progress of the entire BH society.

Doz. Dr. Irzada Taljić explained that the constant changes in nutrition patterns and health implications increase awareness of the importance of proper nutrition, and it is important that the counseling of the population and the recommendation on a healthy and healthy lifestyle are provided by highly educated persons who offer a two-year master's degree study "Nutrition". "The study is by its very nature interdisciplinary, and for that reason we have engaged highly qualified teaching staff from various faculties of the University of Sarajevo with visiting lecturers from universities abroad,” she said and invited all interested parties to come to the Open Doors Day and get acquainted with the details of the studies.

The Center is focused on the interdisciplinary education of a new generation of experts from Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as from the countries of the region of Southeast Europe. As such, CIS gathers more than a hundred respected domestic and foreign experts from different scientific fields who work together on development projects from all scientific fields.
